I recently finished my part in the project. After almost 3 years, it's time to close a work chapter in my life. It was interesting, and for the first time in my life, I felt like my job was actually useful, providing a benefit (or better said, giving me the possibility to provide a benefit) to many people through my work.
The team has a nice tradition that when someone leaves the project, he or she receives a diploma and a medal. Here are mine :-)
I'm already starting a new project though. The first thing Google found while searching for its name was this: http://www.health-e-child.org/about/grid-enabled-platform-for-simulations-in-paediatric-cardiology-towards-the-personalized-virtual-child-heart . So I think this will also be something rewarding in terms of utility.
