Summoning Wars

Wow, it sure has been a long time since my last posting...
More than 1 year down the road, I finally got back in the mood for coding. And it seems that Serpents will be left somewhat behind... I've tried so many times to start it anew, each time discovering new stuff to add. But I've always managed to lose interest in it halfway through. I hope things will change now, as I've started contributing to an open-source project: Summoning Wars.


I've monitored the project for about a month now. It looks like a clone of Diablo at first (and in many aspects, it is), but it has a fine touch of humor, giving it a distinct feel.


It's a joy to rediscover coding, after a slower time at work, where most of my activities relate to documentation. And what is really amazing is the fact that I seem to fill a missing spot on the team thus far, so this should be mutually beneficial. I've already started getting a better understanding of things I couldn't get a handle on initially.
We (the rest of the team and I) hope to make a new release soon. The current release is Summoning Wars 0.5.4; the next one (0.5.5) should bring quite a few bug-fixes and a bunch of new features.
